The boys loved having the new pinboard in the alcove, and she’d hooked that phone up to the house’s printer as well as bought photo–quality paper for it. So that they could print out and pin up the pictures they’d gotten of their grandparents and their aunts and uncles, their three cousins.

Each one of those photos that had been sent already had the names of whom the people in it were on them. Edited by Calvin himself she could only presume, seeing as all of his family were now in the know. The boys liked having all the pictures on that pinboard, liked knowing they had a family outside herself.

They’d asked Calvin a bunch of questions about having cousins and would they meet their grandparents, to which he’d stated “In due time, if your mother approves, of course. And that had brought them to her to explain what in due time meant.

She set that meeting up with Wil for her and the twins on the 20th so they could meet their father, though she had told Wil not to tell Calvin the twins would be there. The boys wanted it to be a surprise, and he’d told her he was all good with that. He thought it was nice of her and the boys to want to surprise Calvin like that..

Calvin and Wil had arrived on Friday evening and the boys had hovered over that phone and app all afternoon watching the plane arrive and then Calvin and Wil making their way to the hotel in Roanoke. She could see the anxious excitement in both the boys, and they found it harder to sit still than normal, once he was there

at the hotel.

She chuckled softly when they held the phone out to her. “You take it,” Callum had stated.

“Why?” she’d asked as she took the phone from him.

“We’ll tell him about tomorrow,” he stated. “Too excited not to.”

“Hmm, I guess you can consider it an early Christmas present for him from the both of you.she’d smiled at them and seen them go a little wide–eyed. It was clearly not something they’d thought about themselves. Though they had asked about Christmas and she’d not really committed to anything. Not really said anything at all on the subject. Only stated “I’ll think about it.”

Because she had a plan formulated inside her mind, she had no family herself, so technically she and the children could have Christmas anywhere they wanted, presents could be opened early and some could be packed and taken with her so they could have something to open on the day. They only got one present each from Santa; All the rest were labelled from Mum.

The boys also didn’t really need anything, they had everything they wanted other than a pet. She’d never really had the inclination to buy them a puppy. The property here wasn’t fully fenced, only along the roadside. And she’d have to do that if she were to get them a puppy. She wasn’t a cat person, nor did she want a bird, believed they should be able to fly freely. So they were out of the question.

She had told the boys when they were old enough, to look after a dog, by which she meant picking u poop every day, and take it for walks and doing the training it would need. Then and only then could they have a dog. But that had grossed them out; picking up the poop, so until they were willing to do that, they weren’t getting a puppy.

It did not surprise her that it took the boys ages to finally fall asleep or that they woke up at the c***k of

O

and then came downstairs and wore her up as well. She just rolled over and muttered “It’s too early.”

And pulled the blanket over her once more.

Only to have them tug it down “Get up.” they’d told her

“Boys, the meeting isn’t until 10am, it’s barely 0730. Come on, I don’t even need to get up for at least another

hour” She told them

“Mum” They both whined at her. “You have to make breakfast.”

“Go make cereal” She told them and chuckled at their pouting little faces. “Toast?” she suggested. They were more than capable of getting their own breakfast, making toast and cereal.

“Pancakes” they told her

“Oh, I don’t think you got me up early enough for that,” she told them with a chuckle. And they were pulling at

her blankets again.

“Yes we did” They were laughing at her now as she fought them over those blankets and they both realised

she was just teasing tem

“Go” She waved them off I’m getting up” she laughed as they ran off yeiling about getting the bowls out

She’d been given the all clear to due on Wednesday and Ashley was no longer needed. Her dizzy spells had

slowed down and the light to dark senonwly no longer affected her. She’d not had one episode in the past

month of wertigeilke sensations

She would be drung out to Roanoke this morning herself. She dressed in blue jeans and a long–sleeved dark marcom inti kap, and pulled a warm cost on The boys were dressed much the same as she was. It was cold

running night to the car “So very obedient today I see” she chuckled. “Oh I wonder why?she stated, and they poked then tongues out at her as they buckled up in the backseat.
