Chapter 304
Chapter 304
Alaric’s mind filled with Anastasia’s beautiful face. Even without makeup, she was absolutely radiant and captivating–the kind of woman you couldn’t look away from.
“I need to find out who she is,” he said.
“How old do you think she was?” Diego asked.
“Early twenties, maybe?” Alaric said.
Having spent years abroad, Alaric was used to foreign women who looked more mature. Back in the States, American girls all seemed so young to him that it was hard to pinpoint exact ages.
“Early twenties…”
Diego thought for a moment. “There’s only one young woman in the Rhodes family who fits that age range. Though I’m not sure if the person you saw was actually…”
Alaric shot Diego an exasperated look. “Dude, you’re killing me here. Can you just give me a straight answer? Who is she?”
“Based on my deduction, she’s probably the youngest Rhodes daughter–Yuria,” Diego said.
“Yuria…” Alaric murmured. “Free–spirited like a bird. That does seem to fit her personality.”
While driving, Diego waved his hand in front of Alaric’s face. “Earth to Alaric! You’re a grown man who’s seen plenty of beautiful women. Why are you acting like a lovesick teenager?”
“You don’t understand,” Alaric said to Diego. “I guarantee she’s the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen!”
Diego paused, confused. “Wait, are you sure you’re thinking of the right person? Yuria’s pretty and all, but she’s still got that innocent, unpolished look. I wouldn’t call her stunning.”
Alaric rolled his eyes at Diego. “You just like the whole bombshell type. We clearly have different taste.”
Diego figured that was possible–beauty was in the eye of the beholder, after all!
As far as Diego was concerned, all that European culture had apparently made Alaric’s taste in women even worse!
At the airport, Cassian met Dan and Scarlett Covey, along with the little girl beside them.
The girl was Kitty, Dan and Scarlett’s adopted daughter.
The moment Kitty got off the plane, she looked around curiously.
To help the little girl feel less nervous and adapt quickly, Philips struck up a conversation with her. “Miss Covey, what do you think of New York? The development here is really impressive now. You’re welcome to visit more often and experience different cultures and landscapes.”
Kitty suddenly stopped walking and frowned with displeasure. “I think this place is pretty mediocre. Everything looks

run–down and shabby. The buildings are so outdated and tacky. They call New York an international metropolis, but compared to London, it’s nothing.”
Philips froze, his smile becoming stiff and awkward.
He’d just been trying to make friendly conversation, but somehow it had turned into starting a fight.
This was giving him a headache…
Were all kids this bratty these days?
Just then, Dan spoke up. “Kitty, that’s incredibly rude. These buildings you’re seeing are architectural masterpieces designed by world–renowned architects like I.M. Pei. New York’s architecture brilliantly combines Eastern and Western influences, preserving historical elements while incorporating modern design. It’s one of the most successful examples of cross–cultural architectural integration.”
The moment Dan spoke, Kitty immediately shut up and quickly moved to Scarlett’s side, whispering, “Mum.”
Even though Scarlett wasn’t Kitty’s biological mother, she’d raised her from infancy and loved her like her own child.
With just a look or small gesture from Kitty, Scarlett could sense her mood and thoughts.
“It’s alright, darling,” Scarlett said gently.
Only then did Kitty slowly nod, feeling somewhat better.
Philips quickly apologized, but Dan was naturally easygoing and didn’t think Philips had done anything wrong, so no apology
was necessary.
“Mr. Covey, welcome to New York. I apologize for not giving you a proper reception,” Cassian said.
“No, we should be the ones apologizing,” Dan replied. “I came here so urgently because there’s something extremely important to me that I need to handle as soon as possible.”
“Whatever you need, Mr. Covey, I’ll do everything I can to help,” Cassian said.
Dan was the founder of Covey Industries, world–renowned in business circles.
Besides developing real estate in London and mainland America, Covey Industries owned dozens of ports around the wood.
Rhodes Global’s exports inevitably involved dealing with Covey Industries.
Therefore, Dan and Cassian had always maintained a good relationship.
However, this was the first time Dan had made such a high–profile appearance in America and actively sought out Cassian.
“Thank you.”
Dan asked, “I heard Mr. Rhodes recently got married?”
“Yes, that’s right,” Cassian confirmed.

Dan joked, “What a shame. I was hoping to introduce you to some lovely young ladies from London.”
Everyone had their own little schemes, after all. If Cassian had actually hit it off with one of the girls he introduced, it would have been perfect for Covey Industries‘ expansion into the American market.
Such a pity, really.
Looking at Cassian’s handsome face, Scarlett wondered what kind of woman could have caught his eye. She was genuinely
curious.
Cassian took Dan and his family to Rhodes Global’s most luxurious hotel.
