Back then, Donald said, “It’s alright. We’ll have the baby.”

Jennifer thought, ‘I was the one who lied to him. The baby is there all along. I have to keep this baby safe!

She clutched her belly, murmuring to herself, “Baby, I am begging you. Please, just hold on a little longer. You can’t do this to me. If you leave me, your dad will leave me too.

“He’ll divorce me, and I’ll have nothing left. You can’t do this to me.”

She was so incredibly scared. She was terrified of ending up with nothing again. She truly loved Donald she had always wanted to build a life with hime

She thought, ‘Every choice I made was for our future together. It’s not just about me. No, it’s not.

Jennifer broke down sobbing, then snatched up her phone and frantically texted him. She texted: [Donald, please come home now. I’m really not doing well today. I need you here with me.

[Donald, I have something important to tell you. Please come back.]

Donald didn’t reply to her.

Jennifer waited endlessly. When she called, all she got was the automated reply. “The subscriber is currently unreachable.” She thought, Is Donald really busy with something else, or is he just deliberately ignoring my calls?‘

She broke down in tears once again, clutching her phone in a death grip. At that moment, there was no one left she could reach out to. She was completely alone.

At 3 p.m. in Rosary Estates, Teresa finished packing. There were only a few hours left before her departure, and Michael was still napping. She sat quietly at the table, penning a letter to Jonathan.

There was a spare key on the table. Teresa planned to hand it over to the Rosary Estates property management when she left. She knew that if Jonathan ever learned about Mike, he’d surely come to find her immediately

In the letter, Teresa laid bare the whole story–from her divorce to discovering she was pregnant, and finally to giving birth to Michael.

She confessed that she was once determined to sever all ties with forever, never imagining that, after so many twists and turns, so much would

happen between them.

She candidly expressed her hope that he wouldn’t drag any innocent people into their affairs–whether it was Sherry, Christian, Miriam, Cheryl, or, as she finally mentioned, Jennifer.

She also frankly admitted that some people remained unaware: Donald, Benny, and Edward–none of them knew Michael was Jonathan’s son.

Teresa didn’t mention Irene, their past marriage, or whether she had ever truly loved Jonathan. Perhaps, at this point, love was no longer something that needed to be discussed between them.

In her letter, she laid all the blame squarely on herself, admitting it was her own lack of strength and courage that kept her from telling him the truth about Mike. She wrote many sentences of apology.

She wrote: [I’m so sorry, Jonathan–for depriving you of your right to know you are a father.]

Tears fell onto the letter as Teresa wrote. When she finally finished, she placed the letter on the table and weighed it down with the bracelet Jonathan had given her.
