Dominic did not praise her for her perceptiveness. Instead, his gaze darkened slightly as he said, "Sometimes, you're too clever for your own good. A few reporters will be coming here for an interview at ten o'clock in the morning. You know what you need to do."

With that said, he got up and walked toward the door as though unwilling to stay even a moment longer.

Carla quickly walked up to him with his suit jacket. "Goodbye, Mr. Miller."

Once the door closed, Lia could no longer hold back her anger. "Is this what men are like? Did Dominic really just act like that? How can he change so quickly?

"You're pregnant, yet he expects you to cooperate with him to save his reputation even though he has slept with another woman. And he doesn't even bother explaining anything to you?"

Bella's complexion was slightly pale. "What else am I supposed to do? We broke up some time ago. Dominic isn't any different from how he was at the beginning.

"If anything, it was weird that he had treated me nicely during that short period. I can handle this. Lia, you should go home now. You shouldn't be here tomorrow morning."
