Crushed Affections (Dominic and Bella) novel Chapter 405

Bella was just about to struggle to lift her hands when Dominic grabbed her hand and moved them downward.

She knew what could happen next, and her mind couldn't help but wander, making her heart pound uncontrollably.

Just as the atmosphere grew more intense, he reached up to pull down her hair tie. Immediately, her silky hair cascaded down, draping over her shoulders.

He seemed to enjoy the touch of her silky hair. Despite all the chaos, he did not forget to say, "Don't cut your hair short again. I like it when your hair is long…"

Bella's heart raced. It was the first time he'd admitted liking something about her, even if it was just her hair.

Dominic was about to lift her up when she suddenly grabbed his arm, her face pale. She clutched her belly as she said shakily, "I felt uncomfortable…"

She did not seem to be faking her discomfort, so Dominic quickly stepped back and asked nervously, "What's wrong?"

She took a moment to breathe before softly saying, "I think it might have been the baby moving.

"Let's forget it. I've already had one abortion before, so my body isn't in the best condition. Let's not risk anything going wrong."

Dominic was filled with frustration. He could have restrained himself if they hadn't started anything. So, stopping now after everything that had just happened was pure torture.

However, he did not dare risk the baby. So, he could only wear his clothes unhappily before he sat by the side of her bed.

The second he left, Cara immediately peeked inside Bella's room. "Has Mr. Miller left? Isn't he staying for a meal?"

Bella wasn't in the best of moods, so she answered perfunctorily and fell asleep.

At around nine at night, Dominic suddenly called her. Bella answered, thinking it was something important.

It turned out that he had only called to let her listen in to the sounds coming from his surroundings. He did so to ensure that she wouldn't suspect him of fooling around.

Bella called him a lunatic, but she did not hang up. Despite his lack of warmth and consideration, his behavior gave her a deep sense of security.
